Jess Olson

Guest Services Administrative Assistant

Jess joined Ligonier Camp as the Guest Services Administrative Assistant in January of 2017.She grew up in nearby Greensburg working every summer at her church camp in just about every position available, and loved every minute of it. She’s a graduate of the Recreation, Parks and Tourism Resources program at West Virginia University, which combined her love of working with kids and the outdoors. Since then, she’s worked for West Virginia University, the Girl Scouts, local parks and recreation departments, and even taught Pre-K preschool for a few years.

Jess is delighted to be working at a camp once more because no two days are ever the same. She loves helping guest groups create experiences here at camp. She also loves the staff community, saying “Everyone is wiling to jump in and help each other out, and that’s not something you get to experience often in a workplace.”

Today, Jess lives in Latrobe with her husband, Matt, daughters Bailey and Leah, and dog, Beckett. When she’s not busy at LCCC, you might find her hanging out at the family’s cabin, taking Beckett for a walk, or baking some really good cookies.
